Our Farm
We endeavour to work in harmony with the land. Our goal is to successfully produce food while continuing to maintain a healthy balance between the native plants, wildlife and healthy soil.
Myella is a beef cattle farm that was established in 1937 initially as a dairy farm. One beef animal feeds a family of 5 for one year and now at Myella we consume one animal in 4 months whilst we provide meals for our guests.
Our Farm Produces
Cattle are sold for the beef markets in Australia and the beef is also exported to Japan, Korea and USA and sometimes the cattle are sold to other farmers.
We supply our own produce of beef and a number of fruit and vegetables. Plus the chickens the unsung heroes of the farm always producing eggs for us to enjoy.

We have over 50 kms of fences. The property has good water supply from a scheme reticulation throughout the 53 paddocks. There are three dams we pump water from using solar panels and we also use a diesel pump if the solar pump can't keep up the water supply.

The land is good for grazing stock but the rain fall is not reliable enough for crops. Most farmers in this area grow beef cattle and only a few grow wheat and cotton. Sheep don't do well as the dingo numbers are too high and the spear grass causes issues with their wool and hides.

Many of these paddocks have been divided into 2 or 4 since 2020 - so the map is a bit out of date but you get the general idea.
