Meet the Locals at our Cattle Station in Queensland
Lyn and CarlLyn and Carl are the managers at Myella and are passionate about everything that happens here at our Cattle Station in Queensland.
Both love the land the animals especially dogs and cattle, music and life. Lyn does most of the pink jobs e.g. cleaning and caring for Olive and feeding the family. While Carl does most of the blue jobs, fixing fences and water. They both love cattle work and making a positive difference to the land with their regenerative farming practices. Lyn likes to be creative and exercise and Carl is a bit of a foodie and loves to drive or ride around the farm and loves a chat about all things. Carl and Lyn got engaged at the Myella sunset point.

Olive and Peter EatherTOlive is a local farm girl and she is Lyn's Mum and grew up on a neighbouring cattle station. Sadly, Peter passed away in 2019 aged 86 years, they were married for 55 years.
The infrastructure is a legacy of Peter's contribution to the farm stay and Olive's organisational skills have created many of the systems plus her recipes are used daily. Peter and Olive have three children and two grand children. Olive is as tough as nails and loves to work. Although now in her 80's and a bit forgetful she continues to be involved so she can feel useful. Despite her dementia feel free to have a chat with her, just don't expect her to remember your name ;) https://fundraising.dementia.org.au/fundraisers/lyneather Ask Olive about her goats and how they pulled a cart with and transported the cream from their dairy and cattle station.
She also enjoys sharing stories of how she and her siblings rode her horse 8 miles to get to the Baralaba State School. |
